Armenia is a nation, and former Soviet republic, in the mountainous Caucasus region between Asia and Europe. Among the earliest Christian civilizations, it’s defined by religious sites including the Greco-Roman Temple of Garni and 4th-century Etchmiadzin Cathedral, headquarters of the Armenian Church. Khor Virap Monastery is a pilgrimage site near Mount Ararat, a dormant volcano just across the border in Turkey.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Tbilisi(Georgia)

Arrival “Shota Rustaveli “International Airport in Tbilisi.Meet and transfer to the Hotel, Check-in. Rest of the day free. Overnight stay in Tbilisi.

Day 2: Tbilisi City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Tbilisi (literally "Warm Spring") is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Mt'k'vari River, founded in the 5th century by Vakhtang Gorgasali. Tbilisi is a significant industrial, social and cultural centre of Georgia. Located strategically at the crossroads between Europe and Asia and lying along the historic Silk Road routes, Tbilisi has often been a point of contention between various rival powers and empires.
The history of the city can be seen by its architecture. Tbilisi sightseeing tour includes: Old town: Metechi church and the statue of king Vakhtang Gorgasali (founder of Tbilisi -5th century); Abanotubani, the ancient district of Tbilisi, known for its sulfuric baths; Narikala fortress; Sharden street; Shota Rustaveli avenue; Open Air Museum of Ethnography – it is essentially a historic village populated by buildings moved there from all main territorial
subdivisions of Georgia.Visit Shopping Center - Tbilisi Mall. Free time for Shopping. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 3: Kakheti- Sighnaghi - Bodbe

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to eastern part of Georgia Kakheti region, known almost exclusively for its vineyards and wineries. Visit Signagi, ancient city, also known as the “City of Love”, with stone-paved streets and the balconies in old - Georgian style. It is one of the beautiful towns of Kakheti region at the elevation of about 790 m above sea level, the town overlooks the Alazani valley and faces the Greater Caucasus Mountains. The town is walled with the remnants of 18th century fortifications. Visit Bodbe Monastery originally built in the 9th century, it has been significantly remodeled in the 17th century. The monastery now functions as a nunnery and is one of the the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia. Drive back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 4: Mtskheta – Anauri – Gudauri- Kazbegi

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mtskheta, one of the oldest cities of Georgia, the capital of the early Georgian kingdom of Iberia during the 3rd century BC - 5th century AD and site of early Christianity. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) and Jvari Monastery (6th century). Drive to Ananuri. Visit Ananuri (17th century), the castle complex on the Aragvi River. Drive along historical Georgian Military Road to Gudauri, a ski resort (2000 meters
above the sea level) located on the southern slopes of the greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia. Drive to Kazbegi, by crossing the “Jvari Pass” (2379 m. above the sea level). Explore the area beautifully situated on the hill. Hire locally 4X4 vehicles to get to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, a remarkable monument of Georgian architecture, near the village of Gergeti, situated at an elevation of 2170 meters under Mount Kazbegi (elevation 5033). Drive
back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 5 : Departure Tbilisi(Georgia)

After breakfast check out, transfer to the Tibilis airport to board flight for Mumbai via Sharjah.
